On April 25, 2019, Stonite Surfaces celebrated their grand opening. Located in San Marcos, Texas, in between Austin and San Antonio, the company is nestled in an area that will quickly converge into a bustling spot for a burgeoning market. The current building has enough capacity for expansion in machinery and inventory.

Chester Layne, president of Stonite shared a few words prior to the ribbon cutting ceremony. According to Layne, the company was created with the intent of helping Texas grow, with a focus on commercial and residential projects. While developing their business plan, the Stonite team committed to providing the highest quality in products available in the area. They selected an array of top of the line machinery on the market, including the Smartcut S/NC 550 Optima and Contourbreton NC 300 K 26 (now called the Forte Wide, a premium CNC router) by Breton.
